March Madness! FREE Portrait Sittings all month long..

That’s right!

You pay only for your prints and before you cringe – they start at £8 and there is no minimum spend (unlike some other big photography companies, we feel you should know exactly what you are paying before you even have the shoot.)  If you want a full price list, email enquiries@studiolotus.co.uk – you WILL be surprised at how affordable and downright realistic we are!

Why are we so affordable? Its well known that we are in a digital age – the printing process is becoming cheaper every day, as well as canvases and even framing. Studio Lotus believes that we should be passing these savings unto you – because without you, we dont have a job. And who is our target customer? Parents, mums and dads, grandparents… and lets be honest..kids are already expensive enough without having to break the bank once or twice a year to celebrate those special moments or just capture some gorgeous grins.

We dont want you to have to scrimp and save..we want you to be able to say ‘Lets do some portraits and have some fun doing it!’ And thats where Studio Lotus comes in. We are dedicated to reminding the world that family photography is about…Family.. about the connections, the personality and the true individuality which is so often lost in modern photography. We feel every photoshoot we undertake should be as unique as possible – this is why we especially prefer to do our shoots either in your own home (seriously, we need so little space to work its nutty) or on location perhaps in a park or even at the seaside. Because kids (and some pets, for that matter) really, truly shine in familiar environments and they completely light up when they are outdoors with the sun on their face and the wind whipping at thier parkas.

You will NEVER capture that in a studio setting, not even with a wind machine and a solar light.

But..it’s England, I hear you say? There isn’t enough sunshine, and its rainy? Well, Studio Lotus can capture gorgeous portraits of your little ones stomping in puddles with colourful kit on just as easily as if they were running along the grass in a T-shirt. You’ve probably got a Costa card. You likely have a Starbucks card. You have cards for Tesco, and Co-Op. Customer loyalty is a GOOD thing – especially because it means you get something for it. Well now you can be rewarded for using Studio Lotus Photography! All you have to do is sign up for our Loyalty Scheme and you get 10% off ANY photographic service for the next 2 years! How often you use that discount – is up to you. You can use it for your little ones annual portraits, pictures of your pets, family portraits and even Weddings and Christenings. Hello again and welcome to another Lotus Blog!

I’m going to keep this one nice and brief, so you can all get back to having a great day. Firstly, those of you who may have only just discovered our website, might be thinking it looks a little empty – this is simply because it was launched when we had only a few months of working as Studio Lotus under our belts. It feels like absolutely ages ago! We have SO much more photography to show you, as well as prices to put up. The website is currently being re-designed – the finished product will be more simplified and flow better, and it will be bursting with new photography to whet your creative appetites.

In the meantime, I will put as much content here on the blog as I can – whenever possible, we like to post images from our shoots and when we have permission we put them here. I will also keep you all updated on any Seasonal Offerings…such as Stocking Fillers, Buy one Get One prints and more. Watch this space!

New Wedding Prices

We realised that the breakdown for Wedding fees as listed in our previous blog (which has now been edited) was probably confusing our customers, so we decided to go back to our old way of pricing wedding photography. It is as follows :

WEDDINGS AND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS :

Our weddings break down into the following prices -

Registry Weddings – £295 – registry, civil ceremonies and  ceremony only service for up to 2 hours photography.

Half Day Weddings – £495 – any type of wedding, any mixture of photography (prep,ceremony, post ceremony etc) up to 4 hours photography.

Full Day Weddings - £895 – any type of wedding, any mix of photography )prep, ceremony, post ceremony etc) anything longer than 5 hours photography.

ALL of our wedding services include CD(s) of all of the images from your special day, a copyright release and the prices include any delivery (whether in person or via post) of your cds, prints,  etc. All images are edited to a high standard and YOUR taste.

Additional CD’s £25.00 per cd

Any of the above services can include the following  add-ons at the prices listed below :

Traditional White or Black Wedding album, approx 30 pages 12×8 – £50, includes prints.

Guestbook Album with messages and portraits of your guests £40.00 (allow approx. 1 hour during reception to take portraits. )

Keyring Favours – Double sided plastic keyrings that can be personalised with your guests names, and a photo of your and your groom/wife to be on the other side, as well as wedding date. £5.00 each. (must be prebooked to allow delivery prior to wedding date, no later than 3 weeks before date.)

Keyrings for guests – While your guests are dressed up, we take their portrait against our backdrop and they get a keepsake to remember your special day! Can be combined with the guestbook option if prebooked, for 10% off the total price for these two options! £3.00 per guest. Add on’s such as framing, albums, storybooks, etc will be priced at trade price.

Engagement Photography – A special portrait session of a couple before their wedding, usually booked a few weeks to a couple months before the wedding date. (A romantic location is idea, such as the location of your first date or where he asked you to marry him! ) Just £ 85.00

Please keep in mind these prices are for portrait and reportage shoots within the Northwest – specifically Cheshire and Lancashire. Travel and postage fees may be added if you are beyond this area.

FAMILY PORTRAIT AND CELEBRATION PHOTOGRAPHY:

Family Portrait, including 1 FREE 10×8 print – £49.00

Individual Portrait – £29.00

School Uniform Portraits – FREE PORTRAIT SITTING. Only pay for prints.

Graduation Portraits – FREE PORTRAIT SITTING. Only pay for prints.

Babies 1st Year Package, includes 4 portrait sittings and a selection of prints. – £150.00, includes CD of images for each sitting. (This can be prebooked or purchased as a gift voucher. Must be booked no later than 2 months after birth of child.)

Eco-Portraits. Fun, outdoor portrait sessions in your favourite locations. We donate 5% of our fee to environment causes to offset our carbon footprint. Includes a FREE 10×8 print. – £49.00

Celebration Photography. We can attend your family function and either shoot relaxed reportage or set up our backdrops and offer portraits of your guests. Onsite printing is also an option. Ideal for birthdays and anniversaries! – £80.00 for the first 2 hours photography, and then just £30.00 per hour after that.

Additional options include…

Keyrings – £3.00 or 2 for £5.00 (this can be prebooked on a per-guest basis)

Instant Prints – 6×4 size £5.00 each, A4 size £8.00 each.

BAPTISMS AND CHRISTENINGS :

Ceremony Only – £60.00, includes CD of images and 1 FREE 10×8

Party Only – £80.00 for 2 hours ( see our Celebration Photography for info)

Want to book both? We offer a 10% discount for combo bookings of ceremony AND party. Just £125.00 for both.

Corporate Events – £50 per hour, for either reportage or we can set up a backdrop and do portraits of guests, award winners, VIPS. Guests can then purchase thier own keepsakes from your event, such as instant prints (with or without frames) and keyrings.

Instant Prints WITH frames – 6×4 £9.00 and A4 £16.00

Instant Prints NO frames – 6×5 £5.00 and A4 £8.00

Keyrings – £3.00 or 2for £5

Instant prints and frames can be prebooked.

Non Corporate Events, such as School, Church, and Charity Functions -

We do NOT charge a fee for this. We charge per instant print or keychain. Same prices corporate keychain/prints.

Everything else :

Replacement CDS or extras for friends and family – £25.00 per CD.
